He currently serves as the Head of Department for Orthopedics and Sports Medicine at Mubadala Health, namely at Healthpoint in Abu Dhabi and Mubadala Health Dubai, where he also serves as Associate Medical Director for Surgical Services

Dr. Hasan E. Baydoun completed his medical degree at the American University of Beirut, before moving to the U.S. to pursue his orthopedic surgery residency at the University of Illinois, in Chicago. He then completed a fellowship in Sports Medicine and Shoulder Surgery at Massachusetts General Hospital at Harvard University, with Dr. JP Warner.
After completing his fellowship, Dr. Baydoun completed an apprenticeship in advanced shoulder reconstruction with Prof. Pascal Boileau and Prof. Gilles Walsh, in Lyon. He subsequently practiced in Pittsburgh, USA, for several years, before returning to Lebanon in 2016 where he helped establish the Sports Medicine Program at the American University of Beirut, as well as the Sports Medicine fellowship, the first of its kind in the region.
In 2021, Dr Baydoun joined MubadalaHealth/ M42 where he currently serves as the Head of Department for Orthopedics and Sports Medicine across all M42 assets, namely Healthpoint in Abu Dhabi and Mubadala Health Dubai where he also serves as Associate Medical Director for Surgical Services.
Dr. Baydoun has served as Assistant Team Physician for the New England Patriots, Boston Red Sox, Boston Bruins, and several other professional, collegiate and high school teams. He has also lectured at several national and international meetings; serves on the editorial boards of multiple journals, and is an active member on committees of several societies in the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons. He is active in research, has published articles in peer-reviewed journals, and received several awards for both his clinical and research activities.

The shoulder is the most mobile joint in the body, making shoulder complaints both common and challenging to treat. Shoulder complaints can range from simple overuse injuries to traumatic and degenerative injuries that involve the joints, muscle, tendons and nerves. Dr. Baydoun has helped athletes at the professional level go back to the most competitive states. Common conditions that he treats in high level athletes include:

Arthroscopy
Arthroscopic surgery is an area in Orthopedics where we use scopes for minimally invasive approaches. The importance of minimally invasive procedures allows for less damage to the soft tissues around the operated site. Dr. Baydoun is an invited speaker and lecturer in international conferences, and is frequently visited by surgeons from around the globe, where they shadow him in the operating room to learn on new arthroscopic skills.
